We welcome swimmers of all ages and levels, but we are particularly keen for swimmers to join as early as possible i.e. age 5-6.

are 3 club nights per week:

1.
The above timings show the total session time for each night. Your child
will be allocated a class slot for a particular night. The slot will be of
between 30 & 60 minutes in duration, depending upon the technical level of
the group involved.
2.
Club nights will only occur during term time.
3.
Children who become members of the Squad will be requested to attend
more than one night per week.

These
are days designed to allow your children the chance to take badges and other
awards.
There
are no set days for these activities but they normally occur on Saturdays during
December and March. Please refer to the notice board at the leisure centre. (An
application form will be posted on the notice board after half term.)
If
you are in doubt as to which badge your child should aim for please talk to
your child’s coach.
Club

Tadpole
Galas: For younger swimmers
Individual
Galas: For any swimmers.
Intertowns
League: Team based galas against other swimming clubs.
Our
policy is to try and encourage as many children as possible to take part in
these events.
When
we think that your child is ready for competition we will place their names on
the Gala roster, which will be displayed on the leisure centre notice board. Please
tick their name to confirm their attendance.
Whilst
most of our funding comes through members’ fees any fund raising will enable us
to provide more for your children; more specialist training, more competitions
and more awards. However the committee is fully committed in running the club
and therefore relies upon parents to put forward ideas and organise such
events. If you would like to help, please contact the Secretary.
The
club likes to promote team building and the most effective way to do this is via
social events away from the pool. Again if any parents would like to put
forward ideas and organise such events please contact our Secretary.
