Wilmslow Scorpion’s Weekend Round up - From Liverpool to Crewe to Macclesfield
02 Mar 2020
Don’t let it be said that Wilmslow Scorpions don’t travel well. This weekend saw swimmers compete in two galas on Saturday, the Liverpool Splash and Dash at the Liverpool Aquatics Centre and then dart over to Crewe for the Peaks and Plains Gala. Sunday saw swimmers head over to Macclesfield for the Quad Club Championships long distance 800m gala and then head back to Wilmslow for Sunday training.
Hats off to both Katherine Alexander and Phoebe Davidson. Their dedication to the Team Scorpion was shown over the weekend, driving from Liverpool to Crewe to ensure that Simon had a full team at the Peaks and Plains Gala.
A massive thank you to all the parents, who drove swimmers about and endured hours spectating or helping poolside. Thank you to the coaches for being there for the kids.

Saturday 18 March 2023 saw a team of 43 swimmers and our coaches Pete and Graham travel to Macclesfield Leisure Centre to compete in round 1 of Sputniks. We saw some fantastic swimming, for many of our swimmers competing it was their first away gala. Everyone competing did scorpions proud.

Good luck to our swimmers going to Macclesfield this weekend to swim in the Cheshire County Championships 2023. Delighted that we have 5 swimmers who qualified and are representing Wilmslow Scorpions as well as a few dual club swimmers.
